ReplyDeleteHello Sandi, for me, it was like coming home to a fruitful and well-watered garden after wandering around outside its walls for 40 years. Interestingly, today is the 10th anniversary of my "coming home" and it is Prodigal Sunday; today's Gospel reading is Luke 15:11-32. Very apt!
DeleteBrambly Hedge is a favorite among my grandchildren. I just gave a copy to my grand-nephews last month. But I am not sure that I have read all of the stories, because I've never gone through them systematically. We always just take requests and dip in here and there...
ReplyDeleteAs to your "spiritual reading," you have read a lot of challenging books. I have to take St. Silouan, for example, in small bites. But then, my mind is generally unwilling to concentrate.
