One morning last week the moon was full and beginning to descend in the western sky . . . as I walked around the block a few times, I took the opportunity to play around a bit with perspective (the last two photos).

I'm amazed at the detail you got in the last photo. My moon shots look like I've take a picture of a street light.
I've noticed the detail shows up much better when the sky is lighter, like early morning.
