  1. I have not heard of the book, but it seems interesting.
If I only had time to read some more, 100 books waiting for me!

  2. I noticed the name of the one of the authors: Gundry. I knew his mom when she was a lovely older woman and I was a new bride.

I'll be interested in looking for that book.

My first book of 2013 is going to be The Mark of Athena by Riordan--simple children's book.

  4. Love the photo! I think reading is the only reasonable thing to do while wearing the garb.

  7. LOVE the way you started your list! I took New Testament from Dr. Gundry when I was a student at Westmont about a hundred years ago... I still have my texts, including Harmony of the Gospels, and a worthier book is not in existence.

What a beautiful painting as well, and a lovely beginning to the new year.

  8. Sara, it sounds like you are off to a good start if you have one book done already for this year. I love the painting and would enjoy seeing it closer to Dmire the dress detail. Happy new year to you and the musician!

  10. Maybe I should stop devouring the newspaper over breakfast and I might get more books read. When I look at my shelves I wonder if I will ever get through them in a lifetime. Well certainly not if I keep buying them.
