ReplyDeleteBeautiful illustration Sara, I wonder what the book was. Makes me want to be a young girl home in Devon again! The flowering chestnut tree is awesome - always a favorite and never seen here.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of you a few days back when reading the great news about the upcoming rehab of Queen Mary in Long Beach. So glad she will be made safer, live longer, and be used as a tourist venue still. She transported me home to England across the pond in 1964, just three years before she was taken out of commission. I remember it well being my first ever ocean voyage!
Hugs - Mary
What a great start!!
ReplyDeleteA blessed Feast of the Presentation of Christ to you, Dear Sara! <3
